Universal's Oppenheimer and Focus Features' The Holdovers emerged as the top winners at the 74th Annual ACE Eddie Awards, hosted by the American Cinema Editors at UCLA's Royce Hall. The event saw ACE president Kevin Tent clinch the best edited feature film, comedy award for The Holdovers, while the drama feature category was won by Oppenheimer editor Jennifer Lame.
Among the other theatrical winners were Michael Andrews for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in the animated feature category and Michael Harte for Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie in the documentary category.
Television winners included Joanna Naugle for The Bear, Timothy A. Good for The Last of Us, Harry Yoon and Laura Zempel for Beef, and Russell Griffin for How I Met Your Father. The team behind Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour also received recognition for best edited variety talk/sketch show or special.
In addition to the competitive categories, ACE honored director John Waters with the ACE Golden Eddie award for distinguished achievement in film. Kate Amend, Walter Murch, and Stephen Lovejoy were also recognized with career achievement awards.
