Users of a "unique" and popular street have praised crucial changes after a botched transformation.
Lark Lane in Aigburth attracts people from far and wide with its impressive offer of bars, restaurants and independent businesses, but it was widely criticised by many people due to the unsightly appearance of orange traffic cones.
The cones and bollards were put in place in the summer of 2020 as part of the Liverpool Without Walls scheme - which aimed to support city hospitality businesses and allow them to seat more people outside during the Covid-19 pandemic.

A residents meeting was held this week, where it was explained that the orange bollards are set to be replaced with a combination of black and white bollards - deemed to be more in common with the area - or wooden bollards alongside wooden planters.
It is understood the one-way system will remain in place via what is known as an Experimental Traffic Order.
Upon installation of the new measures, there will be a six-month consultation period, with a view to there being a more long-term plan for Lark Lane created over a wider 18 month period.
ECHO readers have said it is "about time" something was done about the "terrible" orange cones.
Sue Jones said: "Lark Lane is brilliant. It complements Sefton Park brilliantly. Such an alternative group of people frequent the area.
"It really is a unique place. Just get rid of those terrible plastic bollards."
One user said the original bollards were "pointless" as they didn't "stop motorists anyway".
Another, commenting on the ECHO website, added: "So they waste money wrecking it, for no valid reason, and then we're supposed to clap when they stubbornly row back on just a few aspects, spending more cash in the process."
However, hearing of the news some users on social media said there would be "not a lot of change".
Some concerns were raised that "just by changing the colour" it still will "not make a difference".
Taking to Twitter, Cllr Tom Crone wrote: "Look forward to improvements on Lark Lane, but most important is that there is now a genuine consultation with residents about the long term future of the Lane."
Businesses also echoed similar thoughts over the "unsightly" bollards.
Ross Barr-Scragg of Scragg's Barbers said the cones have helped to alleviate traffic and allowing traffic in the area to be fairly free-flowing, adding: "The bollards are pretty unsightly and they’re now littered across the road. Now is a great opportunity to put something in place that is more aesthetically pleasing."
