Somewhere in Lewisham this morning, a child is getting ready for school in temporary accommodation. They share a bathroom with other families, keep their belongings packed because there is so little room, and try to do their homework wherever they can find a spare corner.
There is no space to play, no quiet place for a bedtime story and no sense of security in the place they are growing up.
