OPINION - How Google uses brain reactions to recreate songs: Tech and Science Daily podcast

Google has teamed up with Japan’s Osaka University to create an AI tool that can reconstruct music from brain scans.

They trained an advanced deep neural network to match changes in brain activity with musical characteristics such as mood, genre, and instrumentation, as participants listened to music.

They then engaged MusicLM to interpret the data, and reconstruct the songs, which you can hear in the Tech & Science Daily podcast.

A US federal court has ruled that Reddit doesn’t need to identify users who pirate movies, as the Hollywood film industry continues to tackle piracy.
