As the Lionesses prepare to come home from their dramatic tournament at the World Cup in Australia, it’s thought preparations are underway for a celebration of their achievements.
It doesn’t look like we’re going to get that extra bank holiday, but there are signs that the government is planning something to celebrate.
Before the final kicked off, Secretary of State for Sport Lucy Frazer said the country would ‘definitely’ be celebrating the Lionesses ‘whether they win or not’, but didn’t give any specific details.
