The opening of Edinburgh's Stockbridge Market was delayed on Sunday morning after a tree collapsed on top of multiple stalls.
Several market traders avoided a potentially disastrous situation while setting up their stalls before a tree located in the centre of the market fell onto marquees, with the opening pushed back nearly two hours.
Roddy Scott, who witnessed the incident, took to Twitter and shared pictures of the tree that can be seen leaning to one side. It is understood an emergency tree surgeon from the council was called out to rectify the issue before the market opened to the public.
