Everyman cinema has teased the opening of their luxury cinema in Edinburgh for a number of months now.
But film lovers can rejoice as the high end cinema experience has been given the date of April 2 2022 for its opening date.
The new cinema will open on level five of the new marquee retail centre in the heart of Scotland’s capital.

St James Quarter shared a post on Instagram that asked the question: “Edinburgh are you ready?”
Before delivering the news we had all been waiting for, by adding: “@everymancinema are opening Saturday 2nd April on Level 5.
“Sink into the velvet sofas, savour the speciality wine, take a bite of the gourmet burgers and get ready for cinema, but not as you know it.”
In an article earlier this month the Everyman cinema released a sneak peak of the interior for their 37th venue.
It shows luxurious velvet recliners where visitors can enjoy a bite to eat and a refreshing drink as they take in the latest blockbuster or independent film release.
They added that the release of the Harry Potter spinoff, ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbeldore’ will be shown at the cinema six days after the venue’s grand opening on April 8.
The decor is designed in an intimate fashion and echoes a style more synonymous with the 1970’s due to its funky interior.
Those attending the cinema can indulge in a fully stocked bar that includes specialty wines, beers, cocktails along with many other options.
The bar area will also be a space for unique events and will host live entertainment in order to maximise the business space.
Everyman will also offer an extensive menu with impressive dishes from juicy burgers to vegan pizzas and other plant based treats.
Alongside this, cookie monsters will be able to enjoy freshly baked cookie dough with chocolatey treats and an indulgent Biscoff milkshake also on offer.
Waiters will be on hand to take orders from those viewing their chosen films before delivering the items to customers' seats during the movie.
