Shoppers will be able to pick up a bargain when a new Heron store opens in Netherfield later this month - and could be in for an extra surprise with prizes and one lucky customers receiving store vouchers worth £100.
The 300-strong chain, which prides itself on helping customers "buy top quality groceries for less" has taken over a former TSB building in Victoria Road. The property has stood empty for two years
Twenty three full and part-time jobs have been filled at the new shop, which will open on Thursday, April 27. The store will be selling mainly frozen foods and offers big name brands including Muller, Birds Eye and McCain Foods.
Poll: Are you worried about the number of empty shops in Nottingham city centre?
Doors will open at 8am. The first 200 customers who spend £10 or more will be offered a goodie bag worth more than £10, with the first 250 receiving a scratch card for store prizes. One randomly selected customer will also receive £100 worth of store vouchers.
The Netherfield branch of the TSB closed in April 2021. A Heron Foods' spokesperson said: "Heron Foods stores add to the local community so we’re delighted to be opening a store in Netherfield, and we look forward to welcoming customers through the doors.
