OpenAI recently responded to Elon Musk's lawsuit, labeling it as 'incoherent' and 'contradictory.' The company accused Musk of attempting to further his own commercial interests under the guise of benefiting humanity. OpenAI suggested that Musk's legal action stemmed from jealousy over the company's success without his involvement.

In its legal filing, OpenAI contended that Musk's claims were based on a fabricated founding agreement to claim credit for the company's achievements. The company's lawyers argued that Musk initially supported a for-profit structure for OpenAI before distancing himself and now seeking to reap the rewards of its success.

OpenAI expressed confidence that the lawsuit would be swiftly dismissed and urged for an expedited process to avoid a lengthy discovery period. Legal experts have indicated skepticism about the strength of Musk's case, predicting its likely dismissal before trial.

OpenAI also released emails showing Musk's previous support for the company's shift to a for-profit model and his suggestion that it should align with Tesla. Musk had invested significant funds in OpenAI during its inception but resigned from its board in 2018 to prevent conflicts of interest with Tesla's AI initiatives.

Since leaving OpenAI, Musk has launched his own AI startup, xAI, and has been critical of the company and its CEO, Sam Altman. Both parties have yet to comment on the recent developments.

It is evident that the legal dispute between OpenAI and Musk continues to unfold, with contrasting narratives and claims being presented by each side. The outcome of the lawsuit remains uncertain, but OpenAI remains steadfast in its defense against Musk's allegations.
