Onus on Lakshya, Prannoy and Srikanth as World Championships begins on Monday

The pullout of five-time medallist PV Sindhu notwithstanding Indians are expected to fare well at the BWF World Championships in Tokyo.

Ever since Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa won a bronze in 2011, Indian shuttlers have returned with medals from this premier event of badminton. Even though Sindhu missed out on a medal for the first time since 2013, Kidambi Srikanth won silver and Lakshya Sen bagged bronze in his maiden appearance in 2021.
