Astrid Wett has revealed why she has decided to back out of her boxing fight with fellow OnlyFans star Elle Brooke after she feared for her own life after safety concerns following their heated press conference.
Wett who has 230,000 followers on social media, was keen to settle her ongoing spat with her opposite influencer star Brooke in the ring at a Kingpyn boxing event on July.
Astrid was training for the fight with well-renowned coach Mark Tibbs in a bid to be ready for the event, which was the co-main event to TikTok star Ed Matthews’s clash with Simple Simon.
However, in a dark twist during the press conference Brooke's entourage brought out a coffin onto the stage with an inflatable doll wearing a Chelsea shirt. The sinister stunt also saw Wett's face cut out and stuck onto the doll's face, which was inside the coffin.
Now, Wett believes the stunt took their rivalry too far and has claimed she was assaulted at the face-off. “I am withdrawing from the event on July 16 against Elle Brooke,” Wett said during a video on her YouTube channel. “I wanted to prove to everybody that a porn star can do something different. With the boxing, I wanted it to be well respected, and change the opinion on girls that are in the same line of work.
“Talking about the press conference on Wednesday, I was on edge the whole time. Elle was allowed to bring a coffin onto the stage during the press conference, the day after somebody tragically lost their life in the boxing ring. I understand this funny beef back and forth, I can take that, but that is just something you don’t joke about. So to bring a coffin onto the stage is disgusting.
“Where is the respect? Even after the event I alerted them and Elle’s team of the situation and nobody apologised. “I was assaulted at the face-off and then again after. Elle grabbed my face and then kicked me pretty hard in the stomach, which is fine, I can take that. But I was the one who was picked up and dragged off the stage. She stayed on with a mic and continued to slander me during Ed and Simon’s face-off to which at that point I couldn’t defend myself because I’d already been dragged off the stage.”
Brooke will now be without an opponent for her planned boxing appearance but has claimed she will find a new rival following Wett’s withdrawal, report Mirror Online.
Meanwhile Wett has also pointed out Brooke’s frequent threat to “kill” her and believes head guards should have been introduced for the fight.
“The way she acted during the press conference is a real concern for my safety for the actual fight,’ Wett continued during her statement.
“What’s to stop her from headbutting me or kicking me or going for the back of the head for example? She’s already stated multiple times that she wants to kill me. Now there are no headguards so this is no joke.”
