Seemingly every week, the Los Angeles Rams lose another key player to injury. Among the starters they’ve placed on injured reserve are Cooper Kupp, Allen Robinson, A’Shawn Robinson and Joe Noteboom, while Matthew Stafford and Aaron Donald are also out due to injury despite not currently being on IR.
It’s hard to believe how many players have missed time for the Rams this season, but to put their current injury situation into perspective, take a look at this chart. It shows the total salary of players currently on injured reserve in Week 13.
Surprisingly, the Rams aren’t No. 1, but they’re close to the Broncos. Both teams have about $70 million in total salary on IR right now.

If the Rams end up putting Stafford and/or Donald on IR, that’ll only increase the total amount of money they’re paying players who are out. Donald has a high ankle sprain like Kupp, while Stafford is still in the concussion protocol and also has a neck injury that’s caused him to miss two-plus games.
