The Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams play each other this weekend for the first of two meetings this season. It is normal for them to have some player connections.
This year, that is different. Between the two rosters, only one player has spent any time with the other.
That player is Rams offensive lineman Coleman Shelton.
Shelton, the Rams’ starting center, has only played NFL games while with the Rams and has been with them for the last five seasons.
However, he spent time with the Cardinals in 2018 on their practice squad part of that season and in the 2019 offseason before getting cut in August.
The Cardinals have no former Rams and Shelton is the only former Cardinal.
