Only 46% Karnataka health staff took booster dose in 3 months

BENGALURU: With the Covid graph constantly going down in the past two months and due to the mandatory nine-month gap between the 2nd and the next jab, some 46% of healthcare workers and barely 19% of frontline workers in Karnataka have taken the precaution dose — or, booster shot — against Covid-19 in the three months since the drive began for priority workers.

According to the state health department, over 7.5 lakh healthcare workers have taken both doses of vaccine against Covid-19, but only 3.5 lakh of them have accessed the precaution dose as on April 9.
