The top running back in the 2023 NFL draft is former Texas star Bijan Robinson. His stock has remained firmly in the middle of the first round since the college football season ended and everything he’s done during the offseason has only supported that mid-first-round grade.
But in terms of pre-draft hype, things appear to be fairly quiet for the former Longhorn. Robinson was on the Dan Patrick Show where he reported he had only traveled to two teams for pre-draft visits. Those two teams were the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Robinson rushed for 1,580 yards in 2022 and 18 rushing touchdowns. It is somewhat surprising that the Dallas Cowboys weren’t one of the teams he met with ahead of the draft but Robinson did note he met with several teams on Zoom, however he didn’t indicate which ones.
The Eagles hold the No. 10 and No. 30 picks in the first round while Tampa has the No. 19 overall pick.
