THANE: A 32-year-old woman was cheated by online scammers who assigned her a job and later managed to extort Rs seven lakhs from her claiming she made errors in the task which caused losses to their company.
According to the police, the conmen approached the victim, a resident of Gograswadi, Dombivli east using a social messaging site last month and lured her with a good commission for selling certain products online.
