Oner brings Christmas cheer to T1 fans, re-signs through 2028

T1 fans got a festive surprise this holiday season as the organization confirmed that star jungler Oner has re-signed with T1, extending his stay with the team through the end of the 2028 season.

“While I’m with T1, I’ll keep building great memories with our fans and repay your support by becoming a better player. Being able to share this news as a small year-end gift means a lot to me personally,” Oner said in the T1 announcement video.

The re-sign locks in one of the most successful junglers in recent League of Legends esports and reinforces T1’s commitment to long-term stability after another dominant year. Oner has been an integral part of the roster since his debut, growing from a promising rookie in the academy team into a proven championship performer on the biggest stages for the squad.

Since joining T1’s main lineup, Oner has been key in the team’s sustained success, particularly in high-pressure international events. His synergy with Faker to form the formidable mid-jungle combination, along with the rest of the roster, has defined T1’s identity, blending aggressive early-game control with disciplined team fighting. That consistency has made him one of the most respected junglers in the LCK as well. With the recent three-peat at Worlds, the player is also in the discussion to be one of the greats to have ever played the game.

While roster moves and rebuilds are common across the esports scene, T1 continues to prioritize continuity around its core, betting on chemistry and experience over constant change. While key players like Zeus and Gumayusi have left the squad in recent years, Oner’s commitment should help T1 breathe easy that their prime jungler is not going to leave.

Along with Faker’s contract running until 2028, Oner becomes the second player on the roster to be locked in with T1 through that year. Earlier, the jungler assured fans that he wants to be part of the team for a long time.

With Oner locked in and preparations already underway for the 2026 season with their new AD carry, Peyz, who recently helped T1 get their first KeSPA cup. T1 now heads into the offseason with clarity, confidence, and a familiar face set to lead the jungle for years to come.
