A UK supermarket has announced it has a "good supply" of eggs, at a time when its rivals are being forced to ration theirs.
Amid egg shortages, Asda has banned shoppers from purchasing more than two boxes of eggs each. Similarly, in one Lidl branch, a ration of three egg boxes per customers has been put in place, as reported in the Mirror.
Tesco is also only allowing shoppers to buy a maximum of three boxes each.

On Thursday, Waitrose took to Instagram to share an update about its eggs. A post from its official account showed a hand holding eggs, with the text: "FAIR PAY for farmers, enough EGGS for you".
Captioning the photo, Waitrose said: "At Waitrose, you’ll find a good supply of 100% British free range eggs in store and online – and we believe that’s because we pay our farmers fairly. Right now, things are difficult for British egg suppliers, so we’re investing £2.6m to make sure their businesses are supported today, and long into the future.
"Paying our farmers fairly and offering our customers British free range eggs are commitments that we simply won’t sacrifice, even when the going gets tough. With egg shortages elsewhere in the market we have seen a slight rise in demand but we’re working hard to ensure we continue to have enough British free range eggs on our shelves."
Fans were quick to comment. Charlotte said: "Love Waitrose. Always plenty of eggs when I've been in recently", while Jane Thorpe said: "Better welfare for the hens too!". Kerrie said: "Let's hope other supermarkets follow your lead".
