One of Britain’s oldest department stores is closing down after 240 years of trading — blaming rising costs and Covid.
Eve and Ranshaw has operated from the same location since opening its doors in the historic market town of Louth, Lincolnshire, in 1781.
The company has been run by the same family for the last three generations during its 242 years in business serving the local community and beyond.
