One of the four pubs in Bedminster that closed suddenly this week is set to reopen under new management.
The Black Cat on West Street will reopen its doors from midday on Saturday, in a quick turnaround that is being celebrated in the BS3 community.
The pub was one of four that suddenly closed on Wednesday morning, alongside the Albert Lounge across the road, the London Inn on the corner of British Road and Cannon Street, and the Tap and Barrel on Dean Lane.

Bristol Live understands all four pubs are owned by the same businessman and were leased to one lessee, who announced on social media on Wednesday morning that the pressures of rising bills and the cost of living crisis meant all the pubs were closed until further notice.
Mark and Katie Whiteman have stepped forward to take on the Black Cat, and are looking forward to getting the cider flowing again. In a statement on Facebook, they said: “We are pleased to announce that the Black Cat will be open again from Saturday at midday.
"Everyone welcome - it will be amazing to see all the regular faces and some new ones.” The regular Gig at the Black Cat will be returning too, with the first event planned for Sunday afternoon between 3pm and 6pm.
Later on Friday, there was an update that the re-opening may not happen as planned, but with the hope that the pub would be serving pints again in the coming days.
There is no update yet about the future of the other three pubs that closed in Bedminster this week.
