My relationship with comedy movies is complicated — I like them, but only if they include plenty of horror elements that work well with a humorous narrative.
One movie that combines these genres really well is "Shaun of the Dead", and I remember appreciating its perfect mix of wit, gore and genuine emotion when watching it for the first time. Of course, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are also an iconic duo, with their other movies "Hot Fuzz" and "The World's End" being some of my favorites.
