Built 353 years ago, Bowman House is a four-storey, stucco-fronted terraced house with its name written in gold above a black front door. It has stood here longer than Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral or the Houses of Parliament, before industrialisation and two world wars.
Built in 1673 on John Adam Street, which runs parallel to the Strand, the Grade II-listed property is thought to be one of London’s oldest surviving houses. And now, it’s for sale with Tavistock Bow for £4.6 million.
