Arne Slot's Feyenoord assistant coach John de Wolf has made it clear that he would not follow his compatriot if he made the move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Slot has just led the Rotterdam club to the Eredivisie title and is one of the names in contention for the job at Spurs after catching the eye with the football his team have played in the Netherlands and also in European competition in recent seasons. De Wolf is one of Slot's assistant coaches along with Marino Pusic and Sipke Hulshooff, and being born just outside Rotterdam De Wolf has said that he would prefer to remain at his hometown club if the move came about for Slot.
De Wolf, who was at Feyenoord for two years before Slot's arrival as a coach and was a player for the club for six years, was a guest on the Dutch television channel NPO's programme Taxi Castricum this week and he was asked about Slot's future.

"We didn't talk about that at all. I once said in the early stages, don't listen to any other club in the Netherlands anyway," he said, as reported by Fr-fans.nl and Sport Witness.
When asked what he would do if Slot asked him to join him in switching to the north London club, he added: "Then I wish him a good game (challenge).
"This is my club, this is where I belong, this is my home. When I drive over the bridge, I still get goosebumps every day."
Feyenoord lifted the Eredivisie title at the weekend thanks to their 3-0 win at home against Go Ahead Eagles, which left them eight points clear of PSV at the top with two matches to go.
With two years left on his contract, Spurs would have to approach Feyenoord for permission to speak directly to Slot, who was enjoying the celebrations with his team this week.
"We're having a staff party tonight," said De Wolf on Wednesday's television programme. "Tomorrow we will still play as a group, medically and technically."
On celebrating on the steps of the town hall, he added: "If you're standing in front of the TV, it's beautiful, but if you're standing there or there, it's impossible to describe with words."
