CHENNAI: The Edappadi K Palaniswami camp pushed for single leadership of the AIADMK and attempted to convince coordinator O Panneerselvam to agree to a resolution at the general council meeting on June 23, reports Julie Mariappan quoting sources.
"The Palaniswami group has plans to offer Panneerselvam the post of presidium chairman and head of steering committee and make Palaniswami the general secretary, a post held by J Jayalalithaa. Talks will continue with Panneerselvam on Thursday," a party source said. The OPS camp may resort to legal action to stall the meeting, sources said.
