There has been no shortage of drama at the opposite end of Brian Clough Way in the build-up to Saturday’s clash.
The Rams have been given until the start of next month to prove they have sufficient funds to complete the season, or else face the possibility of liquidation.
Three parties remain ready to take over the club, but legal action by Middlesbrough and Wycombe Wanderers is holding up the process.
