In case you missed it, the Washington Commanders have a new owner. In fact, the Commanders have multiple new owners, led by managing partner Josh Harris.
In one week since being approved as Washington’s new owner, Harris was introduced at the NFL owners meetings, bought beers for Washington fans, had his introductory press conference, attended a team pep rally and the first two days of training camp. He’s also met with his new team.
It’s been a busy week for Harris.
On Thursday, Washington fans welcomed Harris to Ashburn, chanting, “Thank you, Josh.” Harris stopped to sign autographs and take pictures with fans.
Speaking of fans, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post shared an interesting photo on her Twitter account Thursday. Check it out:

Her first photo was almost one year to the day [July 28, 2022], with the bottom image coming on Thursday [July 27, 2023].
Notice anything different? The photo is taken from the same exact spot. Unbelievable the difference one year can make. The Commanders also installed bleachers for fans to watch practice this summer.
We’ve seen and heard about the energy surrounding the team since the sale. It’s real. For the first time in a long time, Washington fans have real hope.
