A mom’s attempt to prove that her pool safety net could hold an adult’s weight has sparked a heated online debate, with viewers questioning whether the viral demonstration really proves the net is safe for young children.
While some praised Daisy Hipsher for testing the product herself, others warned that toddlers could interact with the net in very different ways and potentially become trapped or reach the water.
Experts have since told Bored Panda what the demonstration does and doesn’t prove about pool safety, while highlighting the warning signs parents should never overlook.
