Leeds United's struggles this season have naturally led to the circulation of rumours concerning the futures of their most coveted assets. Homegrown hero Kalvin Phillips has been one of the players linked with a departure but a claim made by The Mirror's David Anderson has raised hope among some members of the Elland Road faithful that the England international will remain on the books.
He reports that the 26-year-old has informed the Whites board of his desire to sign a new deal in the summer, which would be a huge boost for head coach Jesse Marsch as he looks to mould the squad in his image. Phillips has not yet featured under Marsch due to injury but was named in a matchday squad for the first time since December when Leeds visited Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Leeds supporters have taken to social media to share their views on the claim that Phillips wants to remain in West Yorkshire.
