Ondine Edinburgh's special Sunday Ocean Roast menu to fundraise for Ukraine crisis victims

One of Edinburgh's most revered restaurants is to put on a special menu in a bid to raise money for victims of the Ukraine conflict.

Award-winning Ondine Oyster & Grill will host their first ever Sunday Ocean Roast on March 20, with all proceeds from that day donated to the Ukrainian Red Cross.

A look at their four course menu shows guests will be treated to Ondine cured salmon for starters, roast monkfish au poivre for main, a cheese plate featuring gorgonzola dolce, followed by white chocolate torte for dessert.

Announcing the one-off menu this afternoon, the Ondine team said: "We have been thinking hard about the best way they can support the people of Ukraine.

"So, they have decided to do what they do best, and on Sunday the 20th March they will be opening their doors for the first ever Ocean Roast with a one off special menu to raise money for Ukraine."

Found in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town and considered by many an 'institution' within the capital, Ondine recently reopened its doors following a significant renovation of the restaurant.

After being founded by chef and owner Roy Brett in 2009, Ondine has become renowned for its seafood and shellfish offering and aims to 'take guests on a unique and magical dining experience with a twist'.

The Ocean Roast four-course menu costs £50 per person and can be booked via the restaurant's menu here: www.ondinerestaurant.co.uk.
