Banks in many states are closed today (Wednesday, August 26, 2026) for Onam and Id-E-Milad. Bank customers should check the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday calendar before visiting a bank branch for work requiring a physical visit.

Apart from national and regional festivals and Sundays, banks also observe public holidays on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.
