On the run killers Alison McDonagh and Stephen McParland caught by PSNI

Two convicted killers on the run from jail in Northern Ireland have been caught, the PSNI convicted today.

Alison McDonagh and Stephen McParland, had been at the centre of a major police hunt after absconding during temporary release from prison. They were last seen at a train station which operates a service to Dublin, sparking a nationwide alert.

However police north of the border confirmed today the duo had been apprehended in Newry this afternoon, reports Belfast Live. The PSNI said in a brief statement: “Unlawfully at large prisoners, 49-year-old Alison McDonagh and 54-year-old Stephen McParland have been arrested in the Newry area this afternoon, Thursday 26th January.
