The race for Texas’ U.S. Senate seat is barreling toward a tight finish between Republican Ken Paxton, the state’s firebrand attorney general, and Democrat James Talarico, a state lawmaker from Austin who has smashed fundraising records. Ted Brown, a Libertarian candidate, is also vying for the seat held by outgoing U.S. Sen. John Cornyn, who lost the Republican primary to Paxton.
