A green meteor has been captured on camera streaking across the skies above Northern Ireland.
The UK Meteor Network reported more than 35 sightings with the first sighting at 9pm. The out of this world spectacular was also captured on camera by scores of people in Northern Ireland.
Its trajectory seems to have been from east to west and covered Glasgow, East Kilbridge, West Belfast, then Lurgan and Armagh. Other sightings were reported in Donegal.
Quick-thinking Joe McNeill from Dunmurry in West Belfast posted incredible footage of it crossing over his house and kindly shared it with Belfast Live.
Joe told us: "I was locking my car when I noticed a flash of light. At first, I thought it was a firework but noticed the change of colour and quickly realised what it was. Luckily I was able to capture it!
"At first I thought it was a firework, no noise and it didn't explode quickly so got my phone out. I saw it tracking across the sky.
"Thought it was a firework at first then realised what it was and was able to record it."
Meteors are classed as small lumps of rock created by asteroid collisions which shed dust and debris as they hurtle through space. They then cause a streak of light in the sky as they enter Earth's atmosphere.
