A close inspection is required to see how Omega has designed the Beijing 2022 Special Editions. Two watches mark the winter edition of the Olympics Games in China as well as its role as the Official Timekeeper for the 30th time in history.
On the dial of the Seamaster Diver 300M Beijing 2022 Special Edition, minute-markers at 2, 4, 8, 10 and 12 are in the five colours of the iconic Olympic Rings. The polished and brushed case back includes a stamped Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 emblem.
The 42mm case is in stainless steel and the bezel ring is in grade 5 titanium with its 60-minute diving scale in positive relief. The sun-brushed blue ceramic dial features laser-engraved waves along with rhodium-plated indexes and hands filled with Super-LumiNova.
The design of the Seamaster Aqua Terra Beijing 2022 takes on a winter theme, with a frost-finish pattern on the white ceramic dial. This icy look is a tribute to the dramatic sports at Beijing 2022 -- whether Alpine skiing, bobsleigh, speed skating or ice hockey.
The dial also includes blued indexes and hands filled with white Super-LumiNova, as well as the colour red used for the Seamaster name and four quarter numbers on the minute track.
With a matching bracelet, the 41mm case has been crafted in stainless steel, with a stamped Beijing 2022 emblem as well as Aqua Terra's familiar waved edging on the case back.
The commemorative models are respectively powered by Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800 and 8900 that reach the industry's highest standard of performance, precision and magnetic resistance, certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology.
