Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said held talks on Thursday with China’s State Councilor and Minister of National Defense Wei Fenghe.
They discussed military cooperation between the two countries and means of bolstering them to serve their interests, as well as other issues of common interest, Oman News Agency ONA reported.
Fenghe arrived in Muscat on Thursday heading a military delegation.
He also met with Oman’s Minister of the Royal Office Sultan bin Mohammed al-Nomani.
Both sides exchanged cordial talks about the course of bilateral relations, in addition to various areas of joint cooperation and ways to develop them.
Fenghe later met with Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad al-Busaidi as both sides reviewed the development in relations between Oman and China in various fields and ways to enhance them.
They also exchanged views on several regional and international issues of common interest and joint cooperation, in line with international efforts to achieve peace and stability.
