Olympic champion Gabby Douglas has unfortunately had to postpone her return to gymnastics after testing positive for COVID-19. The 28-year-old athlete, who hasn't competed since the Rio Olympics nearly eight years ago, was looking forward to participating in three events at the upcoming Winter Cup in Kentucky.
This setback comes as a disappointment to both Douglas and her fans, as she had been preparing diligently for her return to competitive gymnastics. The Winter Cup was supposed to mark her comeback to the sport after a significant hiatus.
