Olympiacos vs Nottingham Forest TV channel, live stream and how to watch friendly

Nottingham Forest are back in action when they play Olympiacos in a friendly on Saturday (5pm).

Steve Cooper's Reds continue their preparations for the return of Premier League football on Boxing Day with a game against the reigning Greek champions in Athens. Olympiacos, who, like Forest, are also owned by Evangelos Marinakis, will provide a stern test for Cooper's men given their involvement in the Europa League this season and the standard of their squad, which boasts former Real Madrid players Marcelo and James Rodriguez.

There may also be run-outs for Josh Bowler and Hwang Ui-jo, who are on loan at Olympiacos from Forest, against their parent club. The Reds' game against Olympiacos is one which will kickstart Cooper's plans as he continues to get his squad up to speed and ready for the return of club football.

Forest have already played Stoke City and Greek side Atromitos, the former back in the East Midlands at Loughborough before Cooper took his side abroad.

"The first two games were training games. We treated them as training exercises, playing at Loughborough and at the training ground," Cooper said.

"This is our first real friendly, if you like, and a competitive game. It’s going to be great.

"We've been training in the stadium. I think it's great for the ownership to have both clubs here. It was our idea to come here.

“We know we will be playing against a team which is used to being successful and competing in European football. It's going to be a challenge that we need - and with the experience of playing in this stadium with the atmosphere."

The Reds will be streaming the game on their Forest TV platform and passes can be purchased for £4.99.

Match passes are on sale for supporters who want to see the game, which can be watched through web browsers and mobile devices by navigating to the Reds' website.
