Olly Murs cancels Edinburgh Castle tour dates after undergoing 'major surgery'

Olly Murs has announced his Edinburgh concert will be cancelled after he underwent "major surgery" this week.

The former X-Factor star had been due to perform to fans at Edinburgh Castle this summer, with the date now one of many that will not go ahead.

Sharing the news on social media, the 37-year-old explained he had been forced to undergo serious operation on his knee, which he had been avoiding having done.

Explaining that the operation quickly became necessary, the star said that all of his summer shows around the UK would be scrapped.

"Refunds will all be available from your point of purchase and please keep an eye out for any emails from your ticketing agent over the next few days. I’m so bloody sorry but my focus now is on recovering and I’ll keep you all updated on how I’m getting on!
