Olivier Ntcham sees red mist as former Celtic star 'got angry' before stunning Swansea solo goal

Swansea City boss Russell Martin says Olivier Ntcham's anger helped spur his team onto a comeback win against West Brom.

The French midfielder left Celtic last year after a failed loan back in his homeland with Marseille and shone off the bench on Saturday. He drifted inside and cracked an excellent 20-yard effort off the post and in to make it 2-2 in the Championship clash, his side already having been behind twice in the game.

Michael Obafemi also came on as a substitute and netted in the 89th minute off an Ntcham assist to clinch a last-gasp Swansea win, and the midfielder well-liked at Celtic Park for his memorable winner away at Lazio under Neil Lennon's management was not happy after coming on. But Martin says that worked in his side's favour, saying of his inspiring subs: "I spoke to Michael just before he came on. I said 'it's written for you if you really want it.

"The fans are singing for you, you've had a great week with Ireland, this is the moment, this is the time'. The fans certainly helped that and that will have done Michael the world of good.

"As it will have done for Olivier. We have not quite seen the best of Olivier so far this season, but he was outstanding.

“He got made angry shortly after he came on, so maybe we need to look at making Olivier angry most weeks. He was great, so I am pleased for those guys."
