Olivier Ntcham in post-Celtic return to form as Swansea's 'strong confidence' has him near top gear

Olivier Ntcham reckons a winning mentality brewing in the Swansea City dressing room is helping him show some of the form he displayed at times with Celtic.

The French midfielder's talent in undoubted and he popped up at big moments for the Hoops, like a 95th minute winner away at Lazio in the Europa League three years ago. But consistency has been an issue and he left Celtic Park last year, rocking up in the English Championship where he's spent this season and last.

Ntcham was dropped from their squad against QPR last month but has since responded with two goals and an assist in his last two outings, his most recent a 2-1 away win at Watford. Swansea sit in a promotion play-off spot and the Frenchman says it's just reward, telling club media: "I think it was a big win for us and I think we deserve everything we’re getting at the moment.

“I hope I can continue to help the team, and also improve little bits of everything I’m doing. I think the game on Wednesday was good, but I think we can improve all the time on the small details – not just for me but for the team too.

“Game after game, we are feeling more confident because we’ve been true to our style. We are building strong confidence now because are learning how to deal with the pressure for 95 minutes and that’s the difference between before and now.

“We have to continue this form. If you look at the league, we are in a good position right now. We are taking things game by game, not getting carried away, and focusing on the next opposition.”
