Olivier Awards 2024: nominations in full including nods for Nicole Scherzinger and Sarah Jessica Parker

Nicole Scherzinger, Sarah Jessica Parker, Andrew Scott and Sarah Snook all all in the running for Olivier awards this year, after the nominations were announded this afternoon, with the National Theatre underlining its stella year with a total of 15 nods.

The National Theatre’s Dear England is this year’s most celebrated play, with nine nominations which include for Rupert Goold for Best Director, and Joseph Fiennes for Best Actor.

Meanwhile the most nominated musical is Jamie Lloyd’s musical Sunset Boulevard, which starred Scherzinger. Director Jamie Lloyd’s reimagining of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical has picked up 11 nominations, including for Scherzinger as Best Actress in a Musical.

A number of starry names have been nominated including several more known for their screen work: Sarah Jessica Parker and Sarah Snook have received their first Olivier Award nominations for Plaza Suite and The Picture Of Dorian Gray respectively. James Norton has been nominated for his role in A Little Life, Andrew Scott for Vanya, and Sheridan Smith for Shirley Valentine.
