Olivia Wilde denies neglecting Florence Pugh amid Harry Styles 'obsession' on movie set

Olivia Wilde has hit back at ongoing rumours claiming she 'neglected' co-star Florence Pugh on the set of Don't Worry Darling.

Endless drama has been surrounding Wilde's latest movie since word spread of on-set between the director, 39, and lead actress Florence, 26, after Olivia's romantic relationship with lead actor, Harry Styles, 28, blossomed during filming.

The 'troubling' rumour started to circulate as soon as news of Olivia and Harry's relationship was made public. Accusations swirled that Olivia's attention was concentrated on the One Direction singer, rather than lead actress Florence, who it's been claimed was 'neglected' on set.

It was further suggested that Olivia was so 'distracted' by her new romance with Harry that Florence had to step in and direct some scenes herself.

Addressing the damaging claims in her most recent interview with Variety Magazine, Olivia put the speculation to bed as she gushed over talented actress Florence amid rumours that the two women are on bad terms with one another.

"It's very rare that people assume the best from women in power," Olivia clapped back.

"I think they often give us the benefit of the doubt. Florence did the job I hired her to do, and she did it exquisitely. She blew me away.

"Every day I was in awe of her and we worked very well together.

"It's ironic now, that with my second film, which is again about the incredible power of women, what we're capable of when we unite, and how easy it is to strip a woman of her power by using other women to judge and shame them."

Olivia went on to address claims that she was distracted on set due to her romantic relationship with Harry Styles.

"The idea that I have five seconds in the day to be distracted by anything is laughable. I was there before everyone. I was there after everyone. It was a dream," she insisted.

Although Olivia and Harry have been pictured together several times, the pair have yet to officially confirm their romance and kept well away from one another during the Venice Film Festival.

The pair reportedly fell for one another on the set of Don't Worry Darling, following Harry's split from ex-girlfriend Camille Rowe, and Olivia's split with fiancée, Jason Sudeikis.
