The mum of Olivia Pratt-Korbel, the schoolgirl fatally shot on Monday evening, has now left hospital.
Cheryl Korbel, was admitted to Aintree hospital on Monday evening, after a gunman attempted to gain entry to her home in pursuit of another man, 35, who still remains in hospital, shortly before 10pm. Cheryl was shot in the arm as she tried to close the door on the gunman, with one bullet fired hitting her daughter, nine year old Olivia, who was standing directly behind her.
During a press conference this morning, Merseyside Police confirmed Cheryl has now been discharged from hospital for the first time since her daughter was killed. They did not confirm Cheryl's condition.
