The detective in charge of the OIivia Pratt-Korbel murder investigation today sent a message to the people of Liverpool, urging anyone with information to "tell us what you know".
Olivia's death last Monday, August 22, rocked the city and has led to a major investigation. Today the man leading that probe, Detective Chief Superintendent Mark Kameen, said police were still working to "gather as much information as we possibly can."
The nine-year-old was shot at her home in Kingsheath Avenue, Dovecot after a gunman burst into her home while chasing 35-year-old Joseph Nee, who had himself run into the house to escape after noticing Olivia's mum, Cheryl Korbel, open the front door.

Two men arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, aged 33 from Dovecot and aged 36 from Huyton, have been conditionally bailed and remain under investigation.
In a statement released today, DCS Kameen said: “I want to take this opportunity, just over a week on from Olivia’s tragic murder, to reiterate our appeal, as we gather as much information as we possibly can.
"A lot has already come in and we’re grateful to those in our communities who have come forward. But just because we have seen two arrests doesn’t mean that we need that information any less.
“Tell us what you know, directly or anonymously, and let us judge how important that information is. Something you might think inconsequential could prove absolutely pivotal in our work, so don’t assume we don’t need to hear it. I’d rather see the same details sent in repeatedly, than people feeling they don’t need to share it.
“We are still keen to speak to anyone with information about the gunman, and the whereabouts of the firearm used. Likewise, anything else you know needs to be shared as soon as possible: for Olivia’s family, her friends, the community, and for justice.”
Yesterday an inquest into Olivia's death was told the St Margaret Mary's primary school pupil was rushed to Alder Hey hospital after being found by police.
Coroner Andre Rebello said: "Armed response officers attended and a nine-year-old girl was discovered with a gunshot wound to the chest. Police officers scooped and ran with Olivia, and she was taken to Alder Hey Children's Hospital on Prescot Road by police car.
"They arrived at 10.15pm and she was brought into the main entrance by a Merseyside Police officer who was covering the wound with his hand. She was noted to have a weak heart, which had stopped prior to arrival in hospital."
A resuscitation team, supported by specialist consultants at Alder Hey, tried desperately to revive Olivia, but she entered cardiac arrest and medical staff made the decision to stop CPR at 11.25pm.
