Olivia Newton-John stunned fans in final performance two years before her death aged 73

Olivia Newton-John performed to fans for the final time in Australia - two years before her tragic death aged 73.

The much-loved Grease actress passed away "peacefully" surrounded by her family at her ranch in Southern California.

Olivia's husband announced the sad news in a statement, which he shared to her Facebook page and other social media pages.

Since then, fans have rushed to share their tributes to the star - who was adored by many across the globe.

During her battle with cancer, Olivia performed for the final time at Sydney's Accor Stadium for the Fire Fight Australia concert in February 2020.

The singer appeared before thousands at the event to help raise money for the Black Summer Bushfires of 2019-2020.

She bravely took to the stage alongside John Farham to perform Two Strong Hearts.

Later on, Olivia was joined by Adam Lambert to sing John Farham's 1986 megahit, You're the Voice.

Meanwhile, Olivia's beloved husband John Easterling announced her sad death on Monday.

Alongside a photo of his wife, he penned: "Dame Olivia Newton-John (73) passed away peacefully at her Ranch in Southern California this morning, surrounded by family and friends. We ask that everyone please respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time.

"Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer. Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer.

"In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made in her memory to the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund (ONJFoundationFund.org).

"Olivia is survived by her husband John Easterling; daughter Chloe Lattanzi; sister Sarah Newton-John; brother Toby Newton-John; nieces and nephews Tottie, Fiona and Brett Goldsmith; Emerson, Charlie, Zac, Jeremy, Randall, and Pierz Newton-John; Jude Newton-Stock, Layla Lee; Kira and Tasha Edelstein; and Brin and Valerie Hall."

He then signed the statement off with: "via John Easterling, husband, Olivia Newton-John".

Olivia shared a touching photo of herself cuddling up to her beloved husband just days before she died.
