Olivia Munn has opened up about having struggled with a low supply of milk whilst breastfeeding her newborn, admitting that she had felt like her body was "failing."
The actor, 41, welcomed her first child with comedian John Mulaney, 39, at the end of last year - with their son, Malcolm Mulaney, now almost three months old.
She has revealed that she "cried and cried" over difficulty breastfeeding her baby, sharing details of her experience with her 2.8 million followers on Instagram yesterday.
The post documented her efforts to feed her son amid a low supply, with her stating that this included consulting lactation experts and trying out different breast pumps.
The actor - whose credits include the Newsroom - said that she also tried breastfeeding pillows, lactation soups, nipple ointments, heating pads and skin-to-skin contact.
Munn said she even wore a formula-filled device around her neck with tubes taped to her nipples in an attempt to stimulate milk production while feeding Malcolm.
The post included a clip of Munn wearing the device, with her writing: "None of it worked! I cried and cried. I felt like my body was failing. I worried I wouldn't bond with my baby."

She however commented: "But then I said f*** it. Breastfeeding is good and so is formula." This was accompanied by photos of her using both methods with Malcolm.
And in a message to other mothers, she commented: "To the mamas out there - do whatever you need to feed your baby and don't let anyone make you feel bad about it."
She later posted: "Thank you to the friends who helped me through breastfeeding and the ones who told me it was okay to stop. You know who you are and I love you."
The post on her page attracted more than 100,000 likes and has amassed almost 4,000 comments, with many of her followers sharing their own experiences of breastfeeding.
Munn and partner Mulaney - who is best known for his work with Saturday Night Live - are both first-time parents, with the couple announcing their son's arrival on Christmas Day.
Mulaney wrote in a post: "Meet Malcolm Hiep Mulaney. He has his whole life ahead of him. He hasn't even tried seltzer yet. I'm very in love with him and his whole deal."
