Comedian Mawaan Rizwan, who faced deportation, and Rapper Big Zuu, whose mother came here as a refugee, have backed our Winter Appeal along with actresses Olivia Colman and Jodie Whittaker and comedian Babatunde Aleshe, calling on the public to “give what you can” to “help people rebuild their lives”.
Their support comes days after we announced that our joint appeal with Comic Relief, A Place to Call Home, set up to help refugees and people experiencing homelessness, has so far raised over £2 million.
