Olivia Attwood has broken her silence on her shock I'm A Celebrity exit.
The Love Island star jetted into Manchester earlier this week after dramatically being forced to withdraw on medical grounds just 24 hours into the show.
Now, Olivia's team has taken to Instagram to thank fans for their kind messages after her sudden departure, with the promise she will return to social media herself soon.
A post on her Instagram stories uploaded on Friday read: "Thank you again for all the messages and love. Olivia will be back soon".
Olivia left the jungle after medics were concerned over the results of a health test in camp.
The reality star was happy and content on the show but concerns were raised by a member of the crew following a standard test that the celebs do behind the scenes during the series.
After further checks were made away from the jungle it was ITV's decision to remove Olivia.
Shortly after the news broke, Olivia was snapped jetting out of Australia to head home to fiancé Bradley Dack.
A statement released on behalf of the former Love Island star via Instagram on Monday night claimed she was forced to leave the jungle for reasons 'beyond her control', adding the truth behind her exit will be explained 'in due course'.
The statement read: "To say Olivia is heartbroken would be an understatement, she dreamed of doing IAC for years, and was absolutely loving every second of the show and throwing herself into jungle life feet first (just as we knew she would).
"However, for reasons beyond her control her journey has been cut short. Your support and kind words have meant the absolute world to her, now as much as it always has."
It continued: "You will hear the truth from Olivia in due course and she will be back on your screens in the New Year."
In ITV's original statement regarding her departure, it made no reference to covid. A spokesman said: "As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks.
"Unfortunately, the medical team has advised it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation. She has been absolutely brilliant and she'll be very much missed on the show.”
Meanwhile, a source claimed to the Daily Mail that Olivia was "upset" and "devastated" to have to leave the jungle.
They added: "She felt so honoured and privileged to have been the first Love Island star to be given the opportunity to go into the I'm A Celeb jungle.
"The worst part is that she absolutely did not quit the show and hates anyone thinking it was her decision to leave.
"She wanted to take part still, but she had to leave for reasons beyond her control, which will be explained at a later time."
