Olivia Attwood breaks silence on I'm a Celebrity exit and promises to 'reveal truth' about show

Olivia Attwood has promised to "reveal the truth" after she stunned fans by exiting I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The ex-Love Island contestant was tipped to do well on the Virgin Media show which started over the weekend.

However, she lasted less than a day before withdrawing from the reality competition - with many believing there was "medical drama" on her first night in the jungle.

After her exit, her reps released a statement on her behalf on her Instagram Stories.

They revealed the television personality will be revealing the 'truth' about her exit from the reality show in 'due course'.

Olivia's statement was shared with her 1.9 million followers on Instagram along with a picture of her on the show.

"To say Olivia is heartbroken would be an understatement," the statement began.

"She dreamed of doing 'I'm A Celeb' for years and was absolutely loving every second of the show and throwing herself into jungle life feet first (just as we knew she would).

"However, for reasons beyond her control her journey has been cut short," the statement explained.

"Your support and kind words have meant the absolute world to her, now as much as it always has.

"You will hear the truth from Olivia in due course and she will be back on your screens in the New Year.

"Ps. Who's going to roast Matt Hancock now?!"

Hosts Ant and Dec addressed Olivia's exit at the beginning of Monday night's show, noting that they were "very sad" that she had left the camp after less than 48 hours.

We did see Olivia get to take part in one of the show's iconic Bushtucker Trials on Monday before her exit, as she teamed up with Boy George, Chris Moyles and Scarlette Douglas to win eight stars for their campmates.
