Oleksandr Zinchenko confident Arsenal have ‘everything’ to finally topple Manchester City in title race

Oleksandr Zinchenko believes Arsenal have all the tools needed to beat Manchester City to the Premier League title this season.

The Gunners were narrowly pipped to the title last season, with City regaining their crown on the final day.

It was the second season in a row Arsenal had come second to City but Zinchenko believes they have learned from those experiences.

The Ukrainian is backing his side to go one better this time around and believes they have “everything” required to win the title for the first time since 2003-04.

“We all know how tough this league is,” said Zinchenko. “How tough this competition is and how demanding it is.

“These last two years gave us a lot of experience in terms of not dropping a lot of points during the season because every single game is so important. It doesn’t matter who the opponent is.

“Obviously, I think we have everything. An amazing squad, amazing coaching staff, a lot of fans around the world supporting and pushing us forward.

“I don’t see any reason why we can’t achieve everything that we want. Of course it’s going to be super tough. Only God knows what will be. For sure we will give our best to make our dreams happen.”

Zinchenko was speaking during an event at Ukraine House, “Volia Space”, in Paris over the weekend.

The left-back revealed how he has recently opened at restaurant in Kiev with his wife, Vlada, as he is refusing to let the war in Ukraine stop his plans.

“I had a dream with my wife, to open a place of our dreams,” said Zinchenko. “I would say that we wanted to create something special for ourselves.

“It’s like our soul. And if we are talking about timing, probably for any business is not the best timing, but we still believe and we know that the peace in Ukraine will be very soon.

“That’s all for our future. I don’t know how it’s going to be, but we really believe in that. And we want to stay in Ukraine after the football career as a player.

“We really want to be involved with Ukraine as much and as long as we can. So that’s why personally, me and my wife and my family, don’t feel ourselves in that way, like we feel at home. So that’s why, without any doubts, we talked about making this dream happen.”
